Our Story

 

It all began with flour, salt, water and a lot of time in quarantine.

I have been baking bread for over 50 years now, but as my husband says: "You've never made bread like this before!"

I tried my hand at sourdough a few times but was never successful until Covid-19 came along. Idle hands are the devil's workshop after-all, so what better time to learn something new?

I started out by giving most of my bread away while working part-time as a registered nurse. It was really fun making people happy and hearing their appreciation for the bread and how good it was.

Every delicious loaf of Mother Mary's sourdough bread is intricately hand crafted using starter grown from the naturally occurring yeasts found and nourished on the windy great plains of fly-over country. These loaves are perfect for use as hostess gifts, sharing with friends or simply enjoying with your family.
